Costume Design

The silhouette designs of my street dance costumes are inspired by sculptures from my street dance costumes are inspired by sculptures from the Dunhuang caves. These ancient caves located along the Silk Road features intricate sculptures and painting of Buddhist deities wearing aprons, scarves, and traditionaol Asian shirts with the left side covering the right. To create a modern twist, I adapted these elements and designed costumes that fuse street dance and traditional culture. I also incorporate the choreography from Kinjazz performance on Youtube.
